Our Year at a Glance
Thank you, Steep!
As another wonderful school year comes to a close, we'd like to take a moment to look back on everything we've achieved together as a school community. It's been a fantastic year of fundraising, friendship and fun, and none of it would have been possible without your incredible support.
We'd like to say a heartfelt thank you to every parent, grandparent, volunteer, teacher, governor, local business and supporter who has helped Friends of Steep School this year.
Whether you've baked cakes, donated prizes, volunteered at an event, bought a raffle ticket, attended one of our community activities or simply cheered us on, you've played a part in making this such a successful year for our school.
A Year of Fun and Fundraising
Thanks to the incredible generosity of our school community, FOSS has raised over £12,000 this academic year. Just as importantly, we've brought families together, welcomed new faces into our community and created opportunities for children to make lasting memories outside the classroom.

Every event, large or small, has contributed to making our school community stronger while raising valuable funds for our children.
Looking Ahead
As we look ahead to the new academic year, we'll be working closely with Mrs Mason and the school to agree the priorities and identify how FOSS can best support them. This may include fundraising events, exploring grant opportunities and other external sources of funding, as well as supporting projects that benefit our children and school community. We're looking forward to sharing these plans with you once they're in place.
We'll also be getting ready to welcome our new joiners in September and have some exciting events in the pipeline, including a children's disco and a parents' social evening, before supporting one of our biggest community events of the year – Steep Bonfire Night. Watch this space!
Welcoming New Faces
This year we were delighted to welcome Nienke to the FOSS committee as our new Treasurer.
Taking on the Treasurer role is a significant commitment, and we're incredibly grateful for the enthusiasm and organisation she has brought to the team. Thank you, Nienke!
FOSS is run entirely by parent volunteers, all balancing fundraising alongside work, family life and other commitments. Every event takes many hours of planning and simply wouldn't happen without people generously giving their time.
We're always looking for new parents and carers to get involved. Whether you'd like to join the committee, help organise an event, lend a particular skill or simply volunteer for an hour here and there, every contribution is genuinely appreciated.
If you've ever wondered about getting involved, we'd love to hear from you. New ideas, fresh perspectives and helping hands are always welcome.

You can continue to support the school through FOSS whenever you shop using EasyFundraising. The easiest way is to install the EasyFundraising browser extension or app. It automatically reminds you whenever you're shopping with a participating retailer will donate a percentage of what you spend through EasyFundraising, so you never miss a donation. It's that easy!
